Assoc. Prof. Günder VarinlioÄŸlu

Günder VarinlioÄŸlu received a BA in Architecture at the Middle East Technical University, an MA in Archaeology and Art History at Bilkent University, and a Ph.D in Art and Archaeology of the Mediterranean World at the University of Pennsylvania. She has worked as a specialist in Byzantine architecture and archaeology at Dumbarton Oaks (Harvard University). She is currently associate professor of Art History at Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University. She has directed field surveys in Silifke (Mersin) since 2002, most significantly the BoÄŸsak Archaeological Survey in 2010-202. In 2018, she has established the BoÄŸsak Center of Archaeology and Heritage in the BoÄŸsak village, under the auspices of Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University.

Prof. Ender VarinlioÄŸlu

​Ender VarinlioÄŸlu received a BA in Philosophy at the Faculty of Letters, History, and Geography of Ankara University. He has first become a lecturer in the Department of Greek Language and Literature, then in the Department of Classical Archaeology in the same institution. He obtained his PhD in Classical Archaelogy of Selçuk University. He retired from the Department of Ancient Languages and Cultures of Akdeniz University. At the beginning of his academic career, he made translations from Ancient Greek literature into Turkish; and later embarked in ancient Greek epigraphy, mainly in Caria in Turkey. He is among the founders of the BoÄŸsak Archaeological Survey and has served  continuously  as a team member.

Prof. Nicholas K. Rauh

Nicholas K. Rauh received a BA in History in Wesleyan University, and an MA and Ph.D. in Ancient History at  the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He has taught  at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, Trinity College, and Purdue University. He is currently a faculty member in Classics at Purdue University. He has been a team member of the BoÄŸsak Archaeological Survey since 2015.

Assoc. Prof. Mine Esmer

Mine Esmer received a BA in Architecture at  Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University, and an MA and PhD in Architectural restoration of Istanbul Technical University. She is currently an associate professor in the Faculty of Architecture and Design at Fatih Sultan Mehmet Waqf University. She has been a team membor of the BoÄŸsak Archaeological Survey since 2014.

Asst. Prof. Michael Jones

Michael Jones completed his BA in Boston University Department of Archeology, and his MA and PhD  in Texas A&M University Nautical Archeology Program. He participated in various archeology projects in Turkey, USA, and Portugal. He is currently assistant professor  at Koç University, Department of Archeology and Art History. He has been working as a maritime archaeologist at the BoÄŸsak Archaeological Survey since 2016.
